Howard's Chowder Shack (formerly Country Chowder Shack) may be your last chance to partake of Rhode Island-style red chowder before you hit Connecticut. And they also have white and clear chowder, clam cakes, stuffies, fish and chips, hot weiners, and more.
Original owner Bob Delgreco started the place around 1970, and it was taken over by David Crossman around 2010. In 2013 the shack changed hands again, and was rechristened after new owner Howard Hughes.
Howard's Chowder Shack is open Thurdays and Fridays, 4pm-7pm; Saturdays and Sundays, 12pm-7pm.
